The Chronicle of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I really have to thank J.K. Rowling before I write this review. I know she wrote the Harry Potter series and not the Narnia series, but if it wasn't for those books and movies, Hollywood would have never stopped treating children like they were stupid. After the success of the Harry Potter movies they realized that children can understand a deep storyline, and because of it everybody wins. Long gone are the days were kids have to force their parents to take them to see a film, adults want to see them just as much as they do, in fact there were more adults in the audience than children. Now about Prince Caspian. It is of course the second film in The Chronicles of Narnia series, and if you like or even love the first one, then prepare to be pleased by this installment. Prince Caspian is by far better than The Lion, The witch, and The Wardrobe in every way. It's funnier, the action is more intense and there is more of it, the characters have grown( and not just in age), the acting is better, the newer characters are much more interesting the older ones( and that's saying something), and best of all this time around the story is much darker. Not so dark that kids won't get into it or be afraid by it, but just dark enough so that the adults in the audience would be really really into it and not just think to themselves how cute the children in the movie are throughout the whole film. It takes place 1300 years later in Narnia, but only one year later for the children. So when they return things are very very different. I know that I would usually explain the story more, but it's so good that I don't want to give anything away this time, trust me even if you didn't like the first one (and how could you) there is no way in hell that you aren't going to like this one, the last time I saw a film this good that was marketed toward kids was the third Harry Potter film Prisoner of Azkaban which is my favorite film (and book) in the Potter series to this date. This is one of those few kid films that surpasses that "kiddie" film stereotype, and is actually as entertaining as any other film you would see this year.
